Press Release

Hsin-chu Science Park, Taiwan, Sep 22, 2002

Texas Instruments Incorporated, Sensor and Control group in Attleboro, Massachusetts and Polytronics Technology Corporation in Hsin-chu, Taiwan are pleased to announce that they have enter to a product supply agreement since Sep. 2003, under which Polytronics will design and manufacture certain polymeric positive temperature coefficient (PPTC) materials and chips for TI related to its products of the automotive DC motor market.

TI and Polytronics believe that the innovation and synergy created by this cooperation present a great opportunity for significant success of both companies in the marketplace.

Polytronics is located in the Hsin-chu Science-based Industrial park, and is the first PPTC manufacturer in Taiwan to perform R&D, product design and mass production on an integrated basis. With its commitment and devotion to technological innovations, Polytronics is emerging in an environment teeming with competition from various large-size, respectable multinationals, such as Tyco Electronics (Raychem PolySwitch), Littelfuse (Littlefuse) and Bourns. Due to its prominence in the areas of low power consumption, resettability, reliability and cost efficiency, Polytronicsˇ¦ products have been widely accepted by the industry. Polytronics is certified by ISO9001/QS9000/TL9000 and ISO14000 and its products have received approval from UL/CSA/TUV. Its capacity for innovation even in the highly competitive international market has been proved by many patents granted in ROC, US, PRC, Japan, Germany and France.
